From time to time we publish coupon codes that take money off an order. This policy explains where they come from, how they work and what they cannot do. It is part of our Terms & Conditions.
Where codes come from
We publish codes on the Offers page of your console. Some are open to every customer; others are set aside for particular customers and are marked Yours. We may also send a code to you directly.
Only codes we issue ourselves can be used. A code found anywhere else, such as a coupon website, a social media post we did not make, or one of our suppliers, is not valid here unless it also appears on your Offers page.
Using a code
- Enter the code at checkout: when you order a cloud server, when you buy Premium IPs or Partner VPS, or when you renew a server. The checkout tells you straight away whether it applies and what it takes off.
- One code can be used per order or renewal. Codes cannot be combined with each other.
- Codes are not case-sensitive.
- The discount is worked out on the full amount of the order: the price, times the number of months, times the number of servers. The code is checked again at the moment you place the order; if it has expired or run out in the meantime, the order is not placed and nothing is charged, and you can place it again without the code.
Kinds of discount
| Kind | What it does |
|---|---|
| Percentage off | Takes a percentage off the order. Some codes cap the discount at a maximum amount. |
| Amount off | Takes a fixed amount off the order. |
| Fixed price | Sets the whole order to a fixed price. An order that already costs less keeps its lower price. |
A discount never exceeds the amount of the order and never increases it. If a code brings the price to zero, the order is free; nothing is paid out or added to your wallet.
Conditions a code may carry
A code may be limited to:
- certain products: cloud server orders, or Premium IPs and Partner VPS;
- servers on a particular network, or Linux or Windows servers only;
- plans with a particular brand name shown on their card;
- orders above a minimum amount;
- a closing date, up to 11:59 pm Indian Standard Time on that day;
- a total number of uses, shared by everyone who uses the code, on a first-come, first-served basis;
- particular customers, in which case it is personal to your account.
Your Offers page shows each code's conditions, and the checkout tells you if a code does not apply to what you are buying. A use is counted when an order or renewal with the code goes through.
Renewals
A code's discount applies only to the order or renewal it was entered on. A server's monthly price stays at its full price, and each renewal is charged at that price unless you enter a valid code when renewing.
Refunds
If an order that used a code is refunded, you receive what you actually paid, which is the discounted amount, and the code still counts as used. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
No cash value
Codes and discounts have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for cash or wallet credit, sold or transferred. A code set aside for you is for your account only.
Misuse and mistakes
Opening extra accounts to use a code again, sharing or publishing a code that was set aside for you, or guessing codes by automated means is misuse. When we find it, we may refuse the code, cancel the discount on orders not yet delivered, cancel the orders concerned and refund what was paid for them, and suspend the accounts involved.
If a code was published by mistake, for example one that makes a plan free when it was not meant to, we may withdraw it. For an order already placed with it, we will either honour the order or cancel it and refund everything you paid.
Changing or ending an offer
We may change or end an offer at any time, including before its closing date or usage limit is reached. Orders already placed keep the discount they were given.
Discounts we receive from our suppliers
We buy the infrastructure behind our services from third-party data-centre and network partners. Those partners sometimes give us discounts or coupon codes of their own when we buy capacity from them. These are part of our purchasing arrangements with our suppliers, not offers to our customers:
- they are applied by us, behind the scenes, when we buy capacity;
- they are not codes you can use at our checkout, and never appear on your Offers page;
- they do not change your price, your invoice, any renewal or any refund; and
- they do not give you a right to any discount, credit or refund.
Our prices are set by us, independently of what we pay our partners. The coupon codes described on this page, and only those, are the discounts available to you.
